Using the project environment |
The project environment is the main interface that translators, engineers and project managers use to localize, test and engineering software applications and digital content files. The Alchemy CATALYST project environment is make up of a number of windows called panes.

Project Navigator |
|
|
The Project Navigator displays the content of your project in an organized, hierarchical list. For example, when you insert a software application into a project it’s individual components, such as Menus, Dialogs, Strings,. Bitmaps are displayed grouped together in the Project Navigator. These individual components are referred to as project items |

Project Workspace |
|
|
The Project Workspace pane is where all the Alchemy CATALYST Visual Editors will appear and is where you’ll carry out most of your translation, engineering and testing work. Each Project WorkSpace will have a Visual and Text Only view of each item within your project |

Translator Toolbar |
|
|
Use the Translator Toolbar pane to translate items that are displayed in the Project Navigator and Project Workspace panes |

Project Results Toolbar |
|
|
The Project Results pane contains the results of operations such as Leverage, Search and To-do items. When this pane is active you can go to the location of any item in your project file by simply double-clicking on it |

Reference Pane |
|
|
This pane is used to display suggested translations and glossary terms. Please refer to Using Active Translation Memories and Using Glossaries for more information on how to configure this pane. |
