A new project is created when a document is opened for translation. To open a document for translation while Alchemy PUBLISHER is running:

  1. Select Open from the File menu. Select the type of file you wish to open from the Files of Type dropdown list;

  2. Using the File Open dialog browse to the document to be opened and click [OK].

Once a document is opened for translation, Alchemy PUBLISHER will append the file extension PPF.

This is the PUBLISHER Project File native file format . This is a highly optimized storage format for bilingual translated content.

The Project will be opened and its contents will be displayed in the Navigator and Workspace panes.
